As you say, the Australian governments shadow price of carbon should mean that $70 per tonne is incorporated into every decision that it makes regarding investment and spending. But at the equivalent to €42 it's not really enough to move the dial. It's interesting that its set just below the $75 price cap under the Safeguard Mechanism. Overall, its showing a real lack of commitment.
