But it's the technology that's making the humans lonely. As far as being a companion, AI bots are already succeeding at that.

Disagree John. My part 2 book of Optimistic Storm lays out the knowns and unkowns.

Take autonomous driving. Best estimate is 10x safer than humans. So in Australia that's 140 deaths not 1400. Given 30% of road toll is cars killing pedestrians and cyclists, which av are demonstrated much better (mobiles, other occupants disruption). Instead of 18% hospital beds with road kill, 2%.

The road carnage is $30 billion a year.

So will AI get another 9? (99 or 99.9, or 99.99)

My analysis on Optimus is similar tech and economics from rethink X.

Sure, many a drip from cup to lip, but I'm not alone.
